1NT again

Began (again...) reading (and taking notes, but too rough to post yet) Caitlin's "Standard Bidding with SAYC". Here is a deal generated in the BBO partnership bidding room. You hold this hand:

Would you open 1NT, or something else? Here is what I did:

and what Gibbie McGee did:

What is your preference?

I would open 1N.

The main factor I use to determine whether or not I should open 1N is whether or not I have a good rebid. Over 1S, I do not. Over 2C, I still don't think so (unless you play that 2H does not promise reverse values, which I like.)

You have Kx and KJ in your other 2 suits, and opening 1N will also allow you to protect those honor holdings.

I suppose I open 1N than most beginners. I know you abhor opening 1N with a 5 card major, but give yourself a 3532 15 count. What are you going to rebid when partner bids ANY SUIT over 1H? There is no way to show your balanced 15 count anymore.

PS. Did 6N make?

Thanks for the comment, Chris! I will stat with the easiest: I have no idea if NT would have made, as it does seem to depend on a lot of luck and placement of important cards in opps' hands so that the finesses work as they should (heh....). This was Partnership Bidding so - no playing them out.
As to opening NT with a 5-card major - until I am not too lazy to learn properly puppet, I will still play the no-5-card-major NTs :(
